THE world’s greatest living politician, Josh MacAlister MP — already PPS to Pat McFadden and the UK’s Trade Envoy to Brazil — has now been appointed as a low-level Minister in the Department for Edukashun.

That’s right: the Labour member for Whitehaven & Wokeington continues his ascent up the greasy pole and now has more hats than the Ladies section of Royal Ascot.

In a statement that tried to pretend he has any hours left in the day, ‘Tosh’ assured voters that his “most important job remains in West Cumbria” — presumably between train journeys to London, flights to Sao Paolo and briefings at the DfE?

Our unquestioning local media have already republished his Press Release that suggests SuperJosh can do it all!

Who is going to ask the blatantly obvious?

Is West Cumbria being sacrificed on the altar of his naked political ambition?

Labour Party grumblers locally might well be wishing they had someone more in tune with West Cumbria than Westminster.
