SHIVERING pensioners in Barrow-in-Furness will at least have warm words to keep out the cold this winter.
To discuss their heating problems, MP Michelle Scrogham has just promised a new round of surgeries.
The toasty surrounds of the £91,000-a-year MP’s office will no doubt be appreciated by OAPs in Furness looking for somewhere to defrost their blue fingertips.
Having shamelessly backed her Labour colleagues (and received a tonne of dung for doing so), Scroggers is rolling out a few public meetings to gaslight local pensioners about the party’s budget choices.
It’s a bit too late for her to justify the whys and the wherefores. The budget has sailed and She helped launch it. The End!
In other news, the Unite Union, one of Labour’s biggest donors (which funded some of Cumbria’s Labour MPs), is now threatening LEGAL action against Keir Starmer’s party for scrapping the Winter Fuel Allowance.
Scrogham herself pocketed GMB union cash, despite the GMB last year calling on ALL PARTIES to maintain the Winter Fuel Allowance.
Did Scrogham take their money and run?
Don’t expect any unflattering little questions like these to be pursued or reported by Scroogequest newspapers in Cumbria.
Like mushrooms, they prefer keeping their readers in the dark and feeding on shit.
As the “most read” story on their website this week shows (below)…
