POSH Carlisle Labour MP Julie Minns is forecast by some pollsters to lose her seat to Reform UK at the next General Election. If she keeps making speeches in public, it’s a cert!
Last night in the House of Commons, the self-righteous MP who revels in sermonising to a captive captured audience, was again astride her highest of high horses.
This time she droned on forever about the NHS – driving even her own MPs to distraction.

She was belly-aching about the halycon days of the health service under Blair & Broon pre-2010.
(The upshot? It’s all going to be fine again under Keirnocchio, honest!)
Minns, reputedly a former shady SPIN DIRECTOR for the disgraced Bell Pottinger firm, tried to enliven several pages of monologue by narrowing her eyes at the opposition and periodically slashing the air with a painted claw for dramatic effect.
To the relief of onlookers, Minns appeared to be finally ushered to order by the Deputy Speaker who had no doubt begun to weary.
New Tory MP Gregory Stafford (who he?) was out of his seat faster than a PM on a toboggan.
He pointed out that the biggest factor affecting monstrous NHS backlogs was the, er, global pandemic, which shut down hospitals and appointments for months and months.
(The COVID impact had barely registered in Big Julie’s self-serving speech!)
And like all Labour MPs, the Carlisle MP has a built-in blind spot for the impact of mass immigration on public services like NHS waiting lists.
The taboo subject, which Labour dare not mention for fear of offence (real or imagined), will take a big bite out of their ‘landslide’ Government next time around.
Pollsters said that of the 120 seats most likely to vote Reform now – 80% of them are Labour constituencies – so thrilled are its own voters by progress thus far.
Julie will only have her party to blame if plain-speaking Farage & his slippery chums drive a coach & horses through her majority in 2029!
