CRUMBRIA: 06/05/2025: EXCLUSIVE
THE world’s greatest living MP, Josh MacAlister, has quietly edited a triumphant Facebook post after claiming that “more than 24,000 people with no right to be here have been deported” under the Labour Government.
Unfortunately, the Full Fact charity – killjoys with calculators – pointed out that the number actually refers to “immigration returns”, which are not exclusively deportations at all, but, include “voluntary departures”.
After all, there’s a big difference between being kicked out of Britain and deciding to say bye.

To his immense credit (or perhaps Full Fact’s), young ‘Tosh’ speedily updated his post to clarify that 24,000 persons have been “removed” under Labour.
So, not so much expelled by Labour’s iron fist as packing a suitcase of their own accord?
It’s a suitably vague term that probably covers everything from actual deportations to losing your passport.
Still, good to know that when the facts don’t fit, a quick edit of Facebook and a polite “thanks for spotting that” is all it takes to move on.
The error, made just before the local elections nationally, is not the first time the former headteacher has had Full Fact put a red question mark next to his sums.
Back in November, the MP had to correct a claim about NHS figures.
That time he was a mere 1.1 million out. Read “CUMBRIAN MP’S NHS GAFFE“.
The question now is whether the latest oversight is reported by any of Crumbria’s media which seem to behave more like adoring puppies than wide-awake democratic watchdogs.
