CRUMBRIA: 10.09.2025
HAVING grumpily told readers last month that there were “no asylum seekers in hotels!”, the piss-poor News & Shrug has now been shown to have missed out a few basic facts.
Thanks to the Tories asking a question at a council meeting yesterday — something trained journalists once used to do — it transpires that asylum seekers are being housed in Crumberland.
Just not in hotels.
As everyone else suspected except the reporter concerned, they’re not in B&Bs or council houses but spread across, er, 131 homes of multiple occupation across Cumberland.
The alleged “newspaper” could and should have discovered this last month when it did its article on the subject.
Instead, it opted to phone in this half-arsed piece below that left readers with totally the wrong impression.

The real facts had to be dragged out of the Labour-daft council by the Conservative opposition.
Because they asked the obvious follow-up question that the News & Shrug didn’t!
Why did the alleged newspaper miss out these important facts originally, and why are they not properly investigating matters of huge public interest?
