CRUMBRIA: 25.7.2026
WHILE the woolly-headed Lib Dems running Wokemoreland Clowncil busy themselves saving the planet and signing silly treaties with religious groups, some basic jobs remain stubbornly undone.
It’s just come out that W&F still hasn’t installed a safety sign at Roa Island near Barrovia after a dog fell off the jetty two years ago and was swept out to sea.

The sign was approved in, er, October 2024 — but despite repeated chasing, piss all happened, the Evening Snail reports.
It then transpired that the Council officer responsible had left the Clown Hall in, er, April 2025.

After repeated prodding from persistent independent Barrow councillor Paul Griffiths — and a public shaming in the local rag — the Council now “hopes” to have the sign up by the end of next week.
The dog, regrettably, remains permanently unavailable for comment.
It’s another stunning triumph for the Kendal-based leadership which modestly seems to regard itself as the greatest Council in the history of local government.
